meant that the hire car we had for the day had got slightly covered in less than 8 hours and there is no sign of the winter disappearing anytime soon!

After much consideration about the opportunities and potential challenges, I have been offered a place on the Clipper Ventures Round the World race, Leg 2 - Rio to Cape Town. I don't, currently know how to sail, I don't know if I get seasick and I am not sure how 21 days on a pitching yacht, 2000 miles away from land will affect me but this blog will chart the progress!
